Küwü, un lápiz para que niños ciegos puedan palpar sus dibujos
Küwü es el nombre que ha dado un equipo chileno del Centro de Desarrollo de Tecnologías de Inclusión de la Universidad Católica (CEDETi UC), a su creación.

Se trata de un lápiz que dibuja un trazo de lana que se adhiere a una superficie, así pues, después de dibujar se puede tocar el resultado. Está especialmente pensado para niños ciegos o con baja visión, aunque lo han probado adultos y están encantados con el invento.

El sistema es bastante simple el "lápiz", creado con impresora 3D tiene un pequeño carrete de lana a modo de grafito, y ésta se va desenrollando sobre el lienzo, que es una superficie de velcro.

Han ganado varios premios con el Küwü y lo han llevado a escuelas para ciegos referentes de EE.UU, donde quedaron gratamente sorprendidos, ya que hasta el momento no se disponía de un sistema para dibujar y poder tocar los trazos del dibujo inmediatamente.

Actualmente están pensando en mejoras para el Küwü, tales como una punta más precisa, que se pueda cortar la lana para levantar el lápiz, conectar el lápiz a un rodillo de lana más grande etc.
